This bike can be ridden with a full UK car license, no bike test required. Its a brilliant bike to ride and offers an unbeatable combo of practicality and fun. As the lightest in its class the Tricity 300 is easily accessible and this bike has been fitted with a Genuine Yamaha Low Seat option for even more confidence. The bike comes supplied with the original seat for the longer legged too. How does the three wheeler business work then? The Tricity has a selectable “Stand Assist Mode” controlled by a trigger button on the left side handlebar controls. When you are stopped or at very low speed this can be activated to lock the front wheels of the bike upright. In stand assist mode the bike becomes virtually weightless and is incredibly easy to move around. If you’re parking on a hill there is a hand operated ratcheting parking brake which keeps your bike locked in place when in standing mode. To knock off the stand mode just double click the same trigger button or open the throttle and the Tricity 300 will go back to handling just like a regular motorcycle. Of course with an extra wheel up front this means 100% more grip than you would otherwise have on a standard bike. Feedback from the front end is great and you can tackle riding in any conditions with total confidence.
Whether its big tours or just a workhorse for commuting the Tricity 300 has got you covered. The 300cc Bluecore engine is EURO5 compatible so good for ULEZ zones and the motor provides plenty of grunt for effortless motorway speeds or just darting between traffic. Its a frugal beastie too getting around 80-85MPG and the 13L tank ensures you’ve got plenty of range to avoid the forecourts.
